
After moving into our new place, my Dad gave us a chico tree which we planted in our front yard. This is the second time we picked a couple of its fruits. They were just about ripe. Called Sapodilla in spanish, these were native to Mexico, and introduced during the Spanish period
(ref. Pictorial Encyclopedia of Phil. Ornamental Plants by DAMadulid). I love these for their sweet and sugary brown flesh.
